This is a two-year full-time programme designed for honours graduates who may not have taken major accounting specialisms in their undergraduate studies, but who wish to pursue a professional accounting qualification. First year students are required to achieve an average of at least 60% in their first year modules to remain on the course. One of the principal objectives of the programme is that graduates will, on successful completion of the programme, have entitlement to CAP1 and CAP2 exemptions and equivalent exemptions from other professional accountancy bodies.
The Accounting Group were delighted with their success at the Irish Accountancy Awards 2017 being declared winners of the Excellence in Education and Training category. The award recognises excellence in the delivery and development of knowledge and skills in the Accountancy Profession.

A high 2.2 undergraduate degree in any subject. No prior knowledge of accounting required. Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level.

The aim of this programme is to provide students with the key competencies required by a professional accountant in an ever-changing business and ethical environment. Students will be encouraged to develop critical and analytical skills and apply their knowledge to unstructured situations.
