Dr Edana Richardson presented the paper “Teaching Company Law through Practice” at the Irish Association of Law Teachers (IALT) 2021 Conference
This paper discussed an innovative company law portfolio assignment that Dr Murphy and Dr Richardson have created and implemented in their company law classes, through which students follow the process of incorporating a company of their own design in Ireland.

Dr Fergus Ryan discusses Surrogacy Law on TG4
On Tuesday 2nd November, Dr Fergus Ryan of MU's Department of Law appeared on TG4's flagship political programme 7Lá. Speaking to TG4's Shane Ó Curraighíne, Fergus discussed surrogacy law in Ireland and the gaps in the proposed General Scheme of Assisted Human Reproduction Bill 2017.

Maynooth lectures begin in Annecy, France and continue in Lyon
Dr Fergus Ryan visited Annecy and Lyon last week to deliver part of a blended module on the Law of Persons to students at the Université Catholique de Lyon (UCLy). This is the sixth iteration of the module's delivery in Lyon but was the first time students in Annecy had a class taught by a Maynooth law lecturer.
