There are a number of ways to join us at undergraduate level; as a law student in our LLB programme, as a joint honours student on either the BCL (Law and Business), BCL (Law and Accounting), BCL (Law and Arts), BCL (Law and Criminology) programmes, or, finally, as a general Arts student, who successfully qualifies in the first year to continue into the second year onto one our undergraduate programmes.
We offer a suite of postgraduate programmes designed to complement and add critical value to existing experience and qualifications.
Prospective students (who do not meet the standard entry requirements) should consult the Department of Law's Policy for Assessment of Non-Standard Entrants' Applications for Postgraduate Programmes.
A research degree in law is essential for those aspiring to teach law at university level. At the Department of Law we offer both M.Litt and PhD degrees. These offer the opportunity to pursue an extended research project under the supervision of an internationally recognised expert in the field.
The Law Department is excited to announce the introduction of a Professional Certificate in Whistleblowing Law, Practice and Policy. Details of the module content for the Professional Certificate are available here. Application and registration details will follow shortly for rollout in Semester 2, 2021.
