Professor Claire Hamilton and Dr. Lynsey Black have just published an article
"‘Strikingly and stubbornly high’: Investigating the paradox of public confidence in the Irish police" in the European Journal of Criminology.
The piece discusses the factors sustaining the seemingly high levels of public confidence in the police in the Republic of Ireland.

Professor Hamilton is Head of Criminology in the School of Law and Criminology and lectures Comparative Criminology on the MA in Comparative Criminology and Criminal Justice. Dr. Black is the Programme Chair of the BA and BCL Criminology programmes and lectures in Exploring Criminology, Introduction to Criminal Justice and Gender, Crime and Criminal Justice.
