Graduates of the PGDELM have a four-year window from the time of graduating in which to undertake this programme. Graduates of the PGD Ed Leadership or PGD Educational Management are not eligible to apply.

The Future Leaders Gateway Programme programme is designed for teachers at all levels who are seeking or who are already in leadership roles, as well as for those who are seeking to develop leadership skills in their educational settings. The programme is designed specifically to build your knowledge, competence and expertise as you undertake your education leadership journey. The programme offers a combination of practical skills and theoretical foundations to support preparation for leadership and management positions at all levels. It is designed and delivered by experienced leaders, educators and academics from a variety of professional education roles and has input from national and international academic/ practitioner experts in the areas of educational leadership and management. The Future Leaders Programme is a nationally and internationally recognised qualification from the National University of Ireland at level 9 (Postgraduate Diploma and Masters degree) on the NFQ.
This is a Top-Up Qualification exclusively for graduates of PGDELM (which commenced academic year 2017-18). Graduates of the PGD Ed Leadership or PGD Educational Management are not eligible to apply.
