Country's first "SMART" school
Confey College in Liexlip Co. Kildare have recently implemented a school-wide SMART training programme designed to improve intellectual skills among staff and students. The training is provided by RaiseYourIQ.com, an Maynooth University campus company directed by Dr Bryan Roche.

Maynooth University Research into protective headgear for cyclists
New research by the Department of Psychology, Maynooth University and the School of Nursing and Midwifery at TCD indicates that helmet-wearing is not a widespread practice and children are less likely to wear a cycle helmet as they get older.
