Success for Maynooth Psychology students in the Undergraduate Awards 2016!
One of our current undergraduate students - Niamh Doody (3rd year BSc) - and a 2015 graduate, Aoife Fitzpatrick - have both been highly commended and shortlisted in the final of the Undergraduate Awards 2016.

Summer Student Scholarship
We are very pleased to extend our congratulations to Ms Christine Mulligan, one of our second year (BA) undergraduate students who was awarded a prestigious Summer Student Scholarship by the Health Research Board (www.hrb.ie) in June of this year. Department of Psychology (ENRICH) researcher elected to prestigious position of Co-Chair of the Campbell Collaboration Social Welfare Group
Dr Mairead Furlong, post-doctoral research fellow with the ENRICH programme, Department of Psychology, was recently elected as Co-Chair of the Campbell Collaboration Social Welfare Group (SWG) and also as member of the Campbell Steering Group.

Using body clock improves patient outcomes for rheumatoid arthritis
The treatment of rheumatoid arthritis can be enhanced by tailoring patients’ treatment to their circadian rhythm, commonly referred to as the body clock. A team of scientists from Maynooth, Berlin, Vienna and Basel have found evidence that co-ordinating the time of treatment with the timing of disease symptoms can increase the effectiveness of such treatments, reducing joint pain and stiffness for patients.
