Maynooth Psychology Students at the NIBPS Conference 2017
The research of four final year students from Maynooth University was chosen for oral presentation and the group travelled with hopes of taking home some accolades from our UK counterparts. Selected for her highly commended work on the topic of ‘Self-Esteem, Self-Concept and Body Image in Adolescents with and without Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus’ Niamh Doody did the honours for the Department for Psychology.

Psychology SPHeRE scholar appointed to new government Disability Task Force
Padraic Fleming, a fourth year SPHeRE scholar based in the Mental Health and Social Research Unit (MHSRU), Maynooth University Department of Psychology, was recently appointed by the Minister of State for Disabilities, Finian McGrath, to the government’s new Task Force on Personalised Budgets.

Success for Maynooth Psychology students in the Undergraduate Awards 2016!
One of our current undergraduate students - Niamh Doody (3rd year BSc) - and a 2015 graduate, Aoife Fitzpatrick - have both been highly commended and shortlisted in the final of the Undergraduate Awards 2016.

Summer Student Scholarship
We are very pleased to extend our congratulations to Ms Christine Mulligan, one of our second year (BA) undergraduate students who was awarded a prestigious Summer Student Scholarship by the Health Research Board (www.hrb.ie) in June of this year. Great Success for Maynooth Psychology Students at Student Congress
Twenty-three undergraduates made the trip up to the Ulster University, Coleraine last Friday (April 8th) to attend the 38th Annual Congress of Psychology Students in Ireland.
