Department of Psychology (ENRICH) researcher elected to prestigious position of Co-Chair of the Campbell Collaboration Social Welfare Group

Dr Mairead Furlong, post-doctoral research fellow with the ENRICH programme, Department of Psychology, was recently elected as Co-Chair of the Campbell Collaboration Social Welfare Group (SWG) and also as member of the Campbell Steering Group.
 
The Campbell Collaboration (C2) is an international, highly respected research network that produces and disseminates high quality systematic reviews designed to inform policy and practice in the fields of Social Welfare, Crime and Justice, Education, and International Development. C2 is a sibling organisation to Cochrane which synthesises evidence in the healthcare and medical fields (http://www.campbellcollaboration.org).

Dr Furlong (along with Dr Sinead McGilloway) is co-founder and -director of the new PRISM research and training hub in the Department of Psychology which delivers high quality and innovative training/education and support in the C2/ Cochrane methodology to health and social care professionals, academics and students throughout Ireland (www.maynoothuniversity.ie/psychology/prism). 

Dr Furlong is author/co-author (with Sinéad McGilloway) of several Campbell, Cochrane and other systematic reviews in the fields of child and family welfare, gerontology, disability and education.
