Modules have been chosen to reflect the current business and marketing environment. The delivery of our modules is over two semesters (September-January & February-May) followed by the Summer semester pathways (see below). Our programmes are normally delivered through lectures, presentations, and intensive workshops. Students are encouraged to learn independently, through significant reading and assignments, both on their own and working in groups, prior to a class and afterwards. Use course finder for an overview on the below modules, learning outcomes, teaching & learning methods & assessment.
Semester 1 and Semester 2 Module Themes
The final semester (May-August) has a range of options, including a BRP working on a live problem for a client, a work placement* or an academic dissertation. Part-time students complete their Business Research Project in year two.
*Work placements are only available to full-time students. Placements are obtained either through support from the Placement Office or student generated opportunities (subject to approval).
‘The MSc Business Management proved to be extremely valuable in helping me find my job. I am now working at an incredible non-profit in Manhattan. The information I learned, and the experiences I gained in my year at Maynooth were invaluable. Specifically, the summer pathway allowed me to explore a topic that I am extremely interested in and allowed me to interact and form relationships with NGOs’.
