Dr Maria Murphy Discusses Algorithmic Surveillance at the University of Edinburgh

Dr Maria Helen Murphy was invited to present a paper on algorithmic surveillance at the University of Edinburgh Law School on 24 March 2016. Dr Murphy’s paper considered the related issues of mass surveillance and algorithmic profiling. Evolution in the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union was factored into her analysis. On 18 March, Dr Murphy discussed her work at the National University of Ireland, Galway’s Algorithmic Governance workshop. ​​
