Dr Marian Crowley-Henry, Associate Professor in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour in Maynooth University’s School of Business, was an invited speaker on the first symposium of the Irish Academy of Management 2021 conference, which considered ‘The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on organisational and management related matters in both the Irish and international context’.

Funding: Kevin B. Nowlan Castletown Bursary 2021
This scholarship was established in 2017 in honour of the late Professor Kevin B. Nowlan, who chaired the Castletown Foundation for more than three decades. Its aim is to further research on the history, architecture, collections and estate of Castletown House in County Kildare.

Funding: North-South Research Programme (Shared Ireland Initiative)
This programme will specifically support collaborative research, innovation and development between individuals, research teams (in and between disciplines) as well as between higher education institutions on the island, up to and including support for all-island partnerships of scale. It will support proposals in and between any disciplines in science, medicine, engineering, technology, arts and humanities including areas of creative practice and social science. The deadline for submitting an application is 18th October 2021.

Workshop: Open Access and the Humanities: A dialogue on future directions for Ireland, August 25 2021
As research systems transition to Open Access models of dissemination, there is a need to foster a dialogue on impacts and support for disciplinary research communities. Together, Ireland’s National Open Research Forum (NORF) and the Irish Humanities Alliance (IHA) will host a workshop for researchers in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to discuss future directions for Ireland’s transition to Open Access.
