The Department of Law is delighted to extend a virtual welcome to Ms Jagoda Frost, who is currently researching pathways to earning legal professional qualifications in selected jurisdictions outside of Ireland. The project is conducted under the supervision of Dr Fergus Ryan and is part of the European Law Students' Association STEP Summer programme. This STEP project aims to develop accessible resource tools for students interested in qualifying for the legal profession in selected common law jurisdictions.
Originally from Poland, Jagoda is currently enrolled in the European Law School at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Her interests lie mostly in the field of public European Law, especially in the area of taxation. Thanks to this project, Jagoda has been able to deepen her legal research skills even further and to acquire practical knowledge about the recognition of foreign qualifications in chosen common law jurisdictions (i.e. England and Wales, New York State, Australia, Canada).
