Dr Sinéad Ring was interviewed by CNN on the legislation dealing with the records of the Mother and Baby Homes Commission.
The legislation has recently passed through the Oireachtas and has been signed into law. Survivors and advocates have raised a number of human rights concerns in respect of this legislation.

PhD Candidate Gerard Maguire has been awarded funding for a research project through the MU SPARK initiative
This project is in collaboration with Dr Aneta Stepien of Critical Skills. This project is researching the impact of disinformation and fake news as a threat to critical knowledge and hence, the academic community.

Funded PhD Opportunity with DANCING Project, an ALL Institute Project in the Dept. of Law
Due to recent success in obtaining ERC Consolidator funding, we are seeking a PhD researcher to join the DANCING project team. The project titled DANCING - Protecting the Right to Culture of Persons with Disabilities and Enhancing Cultural Diversity through European Union Law: Exploring New Paths, is a 5-year project led by Prof. Delia Ferri. DANCING will investigate the extent to which the protection of the right to take part in culture of people with disabilities and the promotion of cultural diversity intersect and complement each other in the European Union (EU) legal order. It will disrupt the conventional approach adopted by EU law scholarship by using a combination of legal, empirical and arts-based research to pursue three complementary objectives; experiential, normative and theoretical respectively

Dr Edana Richardson presented a paper entitled “Standardising Responsible Islamic Finance” at the Kuwait International Law School 7th Annual International Conference. Dr Richardson’s paper explored the growing harmonisation across responsible finance standards, including those relevant to responsible Islamic finance transactions.
