On April 11th, 2016 M.Litt and Doctoral students from Sociology and other Departments in the Faculty of Social Science presented posters on their research projects in the NIRSA Conference Room. The attended poster session was the culmination of a graduate level module, Crafts and Logic of Social Research II lead by Professor Honor G. Fagan. The session was followed by a panel discussion on Careers in Sociology and Politics, organised by Director of Postgraduate studies, Dr. Rebecca King-O'Riain. Alumni who spoke about career trajectories after leaving Maynooth University included: Dr. Niamh Gaynor and Dr. Majella McSharry (Lecturers, DCU); Dr. Ruth Casey (Lecturer, DIT) and Mr. Shay L'Estrange, Manager at Fettercairn Community and Youth Centre in Tallaght.
