The multilevel intelligent career framework

Dr Marian Crowley-Henry, Associate Professor in HRM and Organisational Behaviour at Maynooth University School of Business has published a new open-access research paper in Career Development International, co-authored with Australian academics, Professor Shamika Almeida, Professor Santina Bertone, and Dr Asanka Gunasekara. This cross-country study (USA, Ireland and Australia) draws on qualitative career narratives from 41 skilled migrants and extant literature on intelligent career theory to develop the multilevel intelligent career framework. The paper shows how influences at the country (macro-level), organisational (meso-level) and individual (micro-level) relationally result in the idiosyncratic shaping of individual skilled migrants’ careers.
