The impending spin out from the Maynooth University School of Business focusing on training transfer is called Trinsights. Dr Paul Donovan, Maynooth University School of Business, and co-founder Trevor Dagg have completed development of the proposed web based tool aimed at enhancing the transfer of learning from training programmes back to the job. This new tool is called STAR. As part of an ongoing engagement with industry stakeholders, Trinsights has concluded an agreement with the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD) in support its mission to educate and inform its membership – the HRD professionals of Ireland.
The overall scope of the project includes a set of initiatives which will be delivered through the communication media of IITD. These initiatives include a series of blogs, webinars and a presentation event for IITD members. IITD Director, Sinead Heneghan expressed delight at the initiative saying that this collaboration could help close the research/practice gap in HRD.
