The study of Dr Sanjay Singh and colleagues recently published in the Technological Forecasting & Social Change explores how information communication technology (ICT) can realize the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 10 "Reduced Inequalities." They observed that the digital divide is a grand societal challenge, and the pandemic has exacerbated the digital divide amongst people in society. They found that sociodemographic, socioeconomic, social support, among others, were critical factors affecting the digital divide in society.
