During this collaborative event, there were three primary panels, respectively focusing on ‘Law and Technologies: Challenges and Perspectives’, ‘Emerging Issues in Criminology and Criminal Law’, and ‘Protecting Human Rights and Enhancing Social Justice beyond the Pandemic’. The latter panel was part of Maynooth Social Justice Week 2022 events. The event panels were expertly chaired by Dr. John Reynolds (MU), Professor Maria Cecilia Fregni (UniMoRE) and Dr. Alice Panepinto, with final discussions moderated by Professor Alberto Tampieri and Professor Delia Ferri. Thoroughly engaging research projects were presented by Ethan Shattock (MU), Federica Nizzoli (UniMoRE), Siobhan Buckley (MU), Elisa Bisagno (UniMoRE), Aislinn Fanning (QUB) and Léa Urzel (MU), with Sejal Chandak (QUB) and Jordan Leinster (QUB), Muiread Murphy (MU) and Alessandra Sardu (UniMoRE) acting as discussants.

This event enabled collective dissemination of research in an encouraging, supportive space and provided thought-provoking research for further discussion. It supported the collaboration among PhD programmes across the institutions involved, contributing to the internationalisation and intercultural dimension of the PhD programme in Law offered Maynooth University School of Law and Criminology
