Keynote Addresses by Dr David Mangan Published

Dr David Mangan addressed the European and International Labour and Social Law seminar in Hamburg, Germany in Feburary 2023. This is an annual seminar hosted at Bucerius Law School and held in cooperation with the German Labour Law Association. Attendees were primarily practitioners of labour law, and labour law judges in the German system. His address (“Data Protection Challenges in Irish Law and Practice”) has been published in Neue Zeitschrift für Arbeitsrecht. 
 
In April 2023, he addressed attendees at the Decent Work in the Digital Age conference held at Pázmány Péter Catholic University Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, and sponsored by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Budapest. His address (“The fragmented protection of privacy and data in labour law”) is found in the Hungarian Labour Law e-Journal.
 
David researches in the areas of employment/labour law and private law obligations (tort and contract), with a focus on the impact of information technology in these areas. David is also a member of the editorial board of the European Labour Law Journal. He is co-editor of the Global Workplace Law & Policy blog. He is currently working on two books: one about information technology law; and another about EU aviation industrial relations during and since the Covid-19 pandemic.
