Maynooth Economists continue to shape Social and Economic Policy in Ireland
Following our recent contribution to the Oireachtas Banking Inquiry and our ongoing involvement in the Low Pay Commission, Maynooth Economists continue to play a key role in influencing and shaping Economic and Social Policy in Ireland. On Thursday 24th November, Dr. Aedín Doris, a labour market expert in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting, provided expert testimony to the Oireachtas Committee on Education and Skills on the role of income contingent loans in financing Higher Education in Ireland.

Maynooth Economist publishes new book on Game Theory
Dr. Tuvana Pastine, a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Maynooth University has just published a new book titled Introducing Game Theory: A Graphic Guide. The Graphic guide to Game Theory will help readers understand behaviour in everything from our social lives to business, global politics to evolutionary biology.

Maynooth Economist invited to speak at major international conference on higher education financing.
Dr. Aedín Doris, a labour Economist at the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting Maynooth University has been invited to speak at a major international conference on higher education financing, at Tongji University, China. The proceedings of the conference are expected to have major impacts on both research and policy in the area of unversity funding.

Accountancy Showcase 2016 a Great Success
The annual Maynooth University Accountancy Showcase took place on Tuesday October 4th 2016 in the Iontas Building, Maynooth University.The event was a great success with all the leading professional accounting firms including PWC, E&Y,KPMG,Deloitte, Grant Thornton, Mazars, BDO, RBK, Crowe Horwath, RSM Ireland and Smith & Williamson attended as well as Hedgeserv, Kerry, Pfizer and IFS Statestreet.
