It is with great sadness that the Department acknowledges the recent passing of Professor Mardi Dungey. Mardi was a great friend and colleague to many in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at Maynooth and we will miss her immensely.

Celebrating Exam Success
Congratulations to Shane Kavanagh who was placed in the top ten in the Chartered Accountants Proficiency 2 (CAP 2) examinations of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2018. Shane graduated with a BA Accounting and Finance in 2017.

The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting's annual Maynooth University Accountancy Showcase took place on Monday October 8th 2018 in the Iontas Building, Maynooth University. All the leading professional accounting firms including PWC, E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte, Grant Thornton, Mazars, BDO, RBK, Crowe, IFAC , EisnerAmper and Smith & Williamson attended as well as Kerry, The Office of the Auditor & Comptroller General, Revenue, Central Bank, CIMA, Chartered Accountants Ireland and IFS Statestreet.
