We are delighted to let you know that Dr. John O'Brennan has secured a prestigious Jean Monnet Professorship in European Integration. More details about this soon. John will be teaching on the Politics programme this year having been on sabbatical in the last academic year.
Dr. Aphra Kerr is leading our new M.A. (Internet and Society) which will introduce students to the intricacies of the internet and explore its cultural, economic and political implications.
We are already putting in place a programme of activities for the coming year which will culminate in a visit to Maynooth University in May 2016 of the leading environmental sociologist Professor John Bellamy Foster. To mark the centenary of 1916 we are offering a third year Special Topic on "Nationalism, Memory and Commemoration" lead by Dr. Niall Gilmartin.
