Trip to Belfast

Over the weekend of 17-18 April, 40 Maynooth students visited Belfast as part of their courses dealing with the contemporary Northern Irish society.
The group visited Stormont where they met representatives of political parties, went to see the recent developments in the Titanic Quarter, and were taken on walking tours of the Lower Shankill, Ardoyne and Lower Falls districts.
The trip was sponsored by the Department of Sociology, the International Office and the Department of Anthropology and was organised by Dr Colin Coulter, Niall Gilmartin and Dr Ada Regelmann.
