Ulster Folklore, the journal of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, recently published a volume (No. 58, 2015) on Rundale: Settlement, society and farming.

The journal contains three contributions from the Sociology Department, MU which has been convening an all-Ireland Rundale research group for a number of years.

Dr. Eamonn Slater writes on rundale's social and ecological sustainability,  Dr. Eoin Flaherty (now at QUB) provides a statistical and documentary primer on rundale and Dr. Clodagh O Malley Gannon contributes a paper on rundale in the 20th century and the importance of commonage.   Dr. Seamus O'Siochain of the Anthropology Department is also a contributor to the volume."
