Paul Ryan spoke at the Merriman Summer School in Ennis Co. Clare last weekend. This year’s theme was the Emotional Life of Ireland and Paul’s contribution highlighted alternative histories in the emotional lives of men. The summer School’s director was Professor Patricia Coughlan from University College Cork.
