Membership of MU SSI

The Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute (MU SSI) has a remit to foster and carry out research of societal importance in all areas of the Social Sciences. Its aim is to bring together excellent researchers from both Maynooth and external partners, and be recognised as a major international centre of excellence for research and policy in the social sciences. MU SSI welcomes new members from across all departments within MU.  Membership is open to current MU staff and research students who are interested in actively engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting the Social Sciences at MU.

 Affiliating your project with MU SSI

  • Affliation to MU SSI must be done when completing the "Intent to Submit" form on RIS
  • Where a project has already commenced without affliation, retrospective affliation can be arranged

Members can also propose to apply for external research funding in partnership with MU SSI and/or as part of a MU SSI led interdisciplinary team of applicants, in consultation with the Institute Director, Professor Linda Connolly
