Membership of MU SSI

The Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute (MU SSI) has a remit to foster and carry out research of societal importance in all areas of the Social Sciences. Its aim is to bring together excellent researchers from both Maynooth and external partners, and be recognised as a major international centre of excellence for research and policy in the social sciences. Our current projects and all our activities to date are outlined on our website: https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/social-sciences-institute

This is our first open call for Institute membership to academic staff members of Maynooth University. The sole criterion at this point is a research interest in the Social Sciences.

Members of MU SSI are invited to engage with the Institute’s research capacity building activities and programme; will receive regular communications on grant opportunities in the social sciences and on all Institute events; are listed on the MU SSI website under ‘Members’; and will be entitled to use the title ‘Member of MU SSI’ on academic publications and RIS research profiles. Additional membership criteria and benefits may be added over time.

Members can also propose to apply for external research funding in partnership with MU SSI and/or as part of a MU SSI led interdisciplinary team of applicants, in consultation with the Institute Director, Professor Linda Connolly
