Dr David Doyle contributes to the Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science on the Pre-Legislative Scrutiny of the Education (Admissions to School) Bill 2020

Dr Doyle argued in favour of the proposal to delete the provision which allows schools to give priority to children and grandchildren of past pupils in over-subscribed schools.

Professor Claire Hamilton has just published an article entitled 'Crime, Justice and Criminology in the Republic of Ireland' in the European Journal of Criminology.

The piece examines: recent reforms of the core Irish criminal justice institutions; basic trends in crime and punishment over the last 50 years; and critical junctures in the debate over law and order in recent decades.

Funding: IRC DOROTHY COFUND Fellowships
