Two Research Reports launched

On Thursday 25th January, 2018, at a reception hosted by the Department of Sociology, MUSSI and the PEWSI research cluster, Prof. Dr. Markus Promberger of the IAB: Institute for Employment Research of the Federal Employment Agency, Germany, launched two reports on the topic of household resilience to the global economic crisis authored by members of the Department of Sociology:

- Dagg, Jennifer and Jane Gray. 2017. Resilience to the Economic Crisis in European Households: Findings from a European Project is a report on Irish findings from the project RESCuE: Patterns of Resilience during Socioeconomic Crises among Households in Europe, a cross-national study in nine European countries, funded by the European Commission under Framework 7, Grant Agreement 613245) and co-ordinated by Prof. Dr. Promberger. 

- Gray, Jane and Clíona Rooney. 2018. Supporting Low Income Families: Enabling Resilience is the final report from a project on the experiences and resilience practices of low-income families receiving Family Income Supplement, funded by the Irish Research Council in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection under the Research for Policy and Society Programme 2015, Strand 2 Department of Social Protection Research Innovation Award, Grant Number RFPS/2015/26.) The event also marked  the deposit of data collected in Ireland as part of the RESCuE project in the Irish Qualitative Data Archive/Digital Repository of Ireland.
