Priyanka Singh, a PhD student, has published an article titled Role of Citizens in the Development of Smart Cities: Benefit of Citizen’s Feedback for Improving Quality of Service with co-authors Professor Markus Helfert and Dr Fiona Lynch from Waterford Institute of Technology in 10th International Conference on Smart Cities and Green ICT Systems – SMARTGREENS. This paper provides a detailed discussion on the role of the citizen in the development of smart city services. To understand their role in such development, a case study was carried out on an e-Parking service. The case study was undertaken to gain a better understanding of how citizen’s feedback could be incorporated into the design of the smart city services for providing improved quality of the services to them.
