Prof Claire Hamilton speaks at the Bar of Ireland 2021 Chair's Conference

On 16th June 2021 Prof. Claire Hamilton delivered a presentation entitled 'People (DPP) v. JC: A Bad Day for Democracy?' at the Bar of Ireland 2021 Chair's Conference on the theme of 'Promoting Human Rights and the Rule of Law in Ireland'. Other speakers included: the Hon. Mr. Justice Donal O'Donnell, Judge of the Supreme Court; Paul Gallagher SC, Attorney General of Ireland and Michael P. O'Higgins SC, Former Chair of the Bar Council of Ireland 2018-2020. 

Claire lectures in Comparative criminology and Terrorism & counter-terrorism at Maynooth University Department of Law. She welcomes research proposals in the area of criminology, penology and criminal justice/procedure, particularly proposals with a comparative element.
