John Reynolds writes opinion piece in Irish Times

UN Special Committee against Apartheid meeting with the Irish Anti-Apartheid Movement in Dublin, May 1974

John Reynolds has written an opinion piece in The Irish Times. The campaign by a broad global coalition of civil society organisations is calling for the United Nations General Assembly to re-establish the UN Special Committee against Apartheid. The article traces the role of the UN Special Committee from the 1960s to the 1990s, and the significance of its contribution to the global movement against apartheid in South Africa. John argues that the UN member states, and Ireland in particular, should support the call for the Special Committee to be reconstituted to investigate apartheid in Palestine.
