Funding: IRC Starting and Consolidator Laureate Awards Programme - Open for Expressions of Interest

The Irish Research Council has opened the Expression of Interest process for the 2021 call for IRC Starting and Consolidator Laureate Awards. The submission process shall be via the Research Development Office and will close for submissions to the IRC on 27th August 2021. The Research Development Office hope to issue further information and support material (including internal deadlines to provide required institutional approvals) over the next few weeks. The IRC aims to host an information webinar on week commencing 21st June and the Research Office will circulate login details as soon as they are available.  As always, if you are considering applying to this call, please complete an Intent to Submit so that the Research Office can assist you with your proposal and the process.   
 
About the Laureate Programme 
The Council is inviting applications at the early and mid-career level (Starting and Consolidator). Funding will be awarded on the basis solely of excellence, assessed through a rigorous and independent international peer-review process. Laureates will enhance their track record and international competitiveness. As well as the benefits for the laureate and their team, it is anticipated that the award will enhance the potential for subsequent ERC success as a further career milestone. 
 
Applications are welcome across 4 panel domains: 

  • Life Sciences (LS) 
  • Physical Sciences and Engineering (PE) 
  • Social Sciences (SS) 
  • Humanities (H)
