SFI-IRC funds MU researcher to investigate obesity-related cancer
Nidhi Kedia Mehta, a researcher in Maynooth University’s Department of Biology, has won funding of more than €590,000 for her research into obesity-related cancer under the SFI-IRC Pathway programme, which provides funding to early career researchers.

Extreme temperatures becoming more common in Ireland -- MU study
A temperature event of 33 degrees Celsius in Dublin’s Phoenix Park has gone from being a 1 in 180-year event in 1942 to a 1 in 9-year event in 2020, according to a new study led by Maynooth University.
