Dr Clíodhna Murphy Delivers Judgment at Northern/Irish Feminist Judgments Project Workshop
On Friday 6 February 2015, Dr Clíodhna Murphy delivered her feminist judgment in Lobe and Osayande v Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, to a drafting workshop of the Northern/Irish Feminist Judgments Project, held at University College Cork. Clíodhna has co-written the judgment with Professor Siobhán Mullally of UCC.
The Northern/Irish Feminist Judgments Project brings a new critical methodology to bear on Irish and Northern Irish legal studies. A collective of academics and practitioners will come together to write the “missing feminist judgments” in appellate cases which have shaped Irish and Northern Irish law. More information about the project, with which a number of Maynooth University Department of Law staff are involved, is available here: http://www.feministjudging.ie/. You can also follow the project on twitter: @irishfjp.
The final drafting workshop will take place in Griffith College and UCD in April 2015
Clíodhna is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University Department of Law.
