Dr John Reynolds speaks at the European Parliament

In December 2018, Dr. Reynolds spoke at an event in the European Parliament in Brussels about the responsibilities of EU members in their relations with states involved in war or territorial occupations. At the invitation of the GUE/NGL European Parliamentary Group, Dr. Reynolds presented to MEPs on the legal obligations of states not to recognise and not to aid or assist violations of international law. The discussion and questions revolved around trade relations and weapons sales to states involved in conflict, as well as corporate activity and resource extraction in conflict zones and occupied territory.
 
Dr. Reynolds is Programme Chair of the Law Department’s LLM in International Justice. He teaches Public International Law, World Trade Law, and Economic, Social & Cultural Rights.
