Dr Higgins to Lecture at the ICC Summer School at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, NUI Galway

Dr Noelle Higgins will be a guest lecturer at the International Criminal Court Summer School, 15-19 June, at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, NUI Galway.

The ICC Summer School is the premier summer school on the International Criminal Court. The summer school takes place over five days and includes intensive lectures by leading specialists on the subject as well as social activities. The summer school is attended by legal professionals, academics, postgraduate students and NGOs. Participants are provided with a detailed working knowledge of the establishment of the Court, its structures and operations, and the applicable law. Lectures also speak to related issues in international criminal law, including: genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, the crime of aggression, universal jurisdiction, immunities, and the role of victims.

Dr Noelle Higgins is a Senior Lecturer at Maynooth University Department of Law where she lectures in International Human Rights, Public International Law, and The Rights of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples.
