A recent collaboration between researchers at NUI Maynooth and Tallaght Hospital highlights the unique needs and experiences of young stroke patients and associated health service challenges. The research conducted by former graduate student Dorothy Leahy, co-supervised by Dr Deirdre Desmond and Dr Rònan Collins, was supported by the Irish Research Council and the Meath Foundation.
