Professor Michael Doherty appeared on RTÉ Radio 1’s Morning Ireland show on 11 March 2016 to discuss ongoing industrial unrest amongst Luas drivers.
 
Professor Doherty researches widely in the area of industrial relations law and policy and has written and commented extensively on strikes and collective bargaining, including his piece ‘When You Ain't Got Nothin', You Got Nothin' to Lose.... Union Recognition Laws, Voluntarism and the Anglo Model’, published in the Industrial Law Journal.
 
Professor Michael Doherty is Head of Maynooth University Department of Law where he lectures in modules on Employment Law and Work and Employment in Europe on the LLB programme.
