Congratulations to Dr Rafael de Andrade Moral, Department of Mathematics & Statistics, who has just been awarded a prize for the Young Statistician Showcase (YSS) Competition by the International Biometric Society (IBS).
The IBS awards a prize to one statistician under 35 years of age for each continental region -- Australasia, Africa, North/South America and Europe, Dr de Andrade Moral was selected to represent South America as he was a member of the Brazilian region of the IBS at the time of the submission of his paper.
Dr de Andrade Moral will give a presentation on Conditional and marginal models for analysing light interception data at the Young Statistician Showcase session in July, at the International Biometric Conference in Barcelona.
