Estates are upgrading and increasing Campus electric vehicle charging points. Parking for Students and Staff provides current electric vehicle charging point locations. Detailed EV information is provided in the sections below.

EasyGo has been contracted to manage and maintain the new EV charge points on campus.

EV Charging Locations
North campus
The side of Bio-Science Building (Barrier access) x2 AC charge points. x1 DC. 6 EV spaces.
Operational from: 22/01/2024
New car park - 3a – x1 AC charge points, x2 DC charge points. 6 EV spaces.
Operational from: 25/04/2024
South campus
Side of Lyreen Hse. x1 AC charge points, x1 DC charge point. 4 EV spaces.
Operational from: 29/01/2024
EV spaces are for charging purposes only. No parking permitted.
Vehicle owners infringing on this regulation will be liable to have their vehicles clamped.
Once charging is completed please move the vehicle to an appropriate parking space. EV spaces will be monitored to ensure the no parking policy is adhered to.
The rate to charge vehicles is:
AC: €0.60 Per kW + €0.27 Access Fee
DC: €0.70 Per kW + €0.27 Access Fee. Max stay 60 mins per cycle.
DC Overstay fee: €8.00 after 60 minutes and every 60 minutes thereafter.
Overstay fee
There is 60 mins max stay while plugged into the DC charge points. There will be an €8 overstay fee after that in addition to the cost of the charge and every 60 minutes thereafter.
e.g. if you plug in at 1.00pm you must be back by 2.00pm to unplug to avoid the overstay fee.
There is no AC overstay fee applied at this time.
Once charging is completed, please move the vehicle to an appropriate parking space. EV spaces will be monitored to ensure the no parking policy is adhered to.
