Maynooth hosts Summer Institute in Restorative Justice and Design Innovation
The event brought together 28 Academic Fellows and members of the Restorative Justice Pedagogy Network from sixteen countries (Argentina, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Ireland, India, Mauritius, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, Spain, Tanzania, the United Kingdom and the United States).

Dr. Ian Marder visits University of the West of England as In-Residence Professional
Organised by Dr. Paul Gavin and Prof. Kieran McCartan, and funded through UWE’s Expanding Research Excellence Scheme, Ian’s trip took place in the context of the hosts’ research on the prevention of sexual violence and the support of perpetrator desistance and victim recovery.

The workshop will allow researchers working on this niche area to connect, showcase their research, gain detailed feedback from their peers, and identify opportunities for future collaboration. Participants will be invited to submit their papers to a Special Issue of the Internal Displacement Research Programme Working Papers Series on Internal Displacement Law and Policy.

The third Legal Histories of Empire Conference, entitled ‘Beyond the Pale: Legal Histories on the Edges of Empires’ takes place in Maynooth
The conference focused on the interconnections and the legal relations between empires and the role played by law in facilitating, constituting, and enabling those connections; on the people of law who moved between these places; and the institutions which bound them together.
