Reminder- deadline for expressions of interest in NatJEUSAL 31 March 2019

NatJEUSAL is one of the flagship projects to which Maynooth University Department of Law participates, and an example of successful international collaboration. It is managed and led by Prof. Bernardo Cortese of the University of Padova, and is implemented in cooperation with Dr. Delia Ferri of MU Department of Law and other academics in partner universities, as well as judicial institutions across Europe, including the University of Murcia (Spain), Riga Graduate Law School (Latvia), University of Zagreb (Croatia), the University of Wurzburg (Germany), the Court of Padova (Italy) and the Court of Venice (Italy).

The NatJEUSAL project is a one-year advanced training programme for national judges focusing on the role of national courts in State aid enforcement. It is financed by the European Commission - Directorate General for Competition. It aims to provide national judges dealing with State aid cases with a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge.
The project includes three residential training session, which will be hosted in Padova (Italy), Murcia (Spain) and Wurzburg (Germany), with the support of other partners, including MU Department of Law.

The first training session will include Irish and Spanish judges and will be held in Murcia on 30-31 May 2019. 

Interested judges may request more information and/or express their interest in participating by writing an email to delia.ferri@mu.ie. For organisational reasons, the expression of interest must be sent by 31 March 2019.
