Meet Our Faculty

In the above short video, Professor Anne Huff speaks about her professional background & influences, her research and education interests.

Professor Huff was appointed as Professor for Research Development in Maynooth University School of Business in 2011 and works with the faculty to develop its research strategy and capabilities.She is also an Academic Director of CLIC, the Center for Leading Innovation & Cooperation and was the Founding Director of the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM), a UK wide management research initiative with offices at London Business School. She is Fellow of the Academy of Management (U.S.) and a Fellow of EURAM (European Academy of Management). In addition to visiting appointments at LBS and Cranfield School of Management, she served on the faculty at the Universities of Colorado, Illinois, and UCLA. She earned a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University (philosophy), as well as an MA (sociology) and PhD (management) from Northwestern University.

Her research interests focus on open innovation, strategic change, and the processes of academic research and publication. In 1998-99 she was President of the Academy of Management, an association of management researchers with over 18,000 members worldwide; she held associated leadership positions from 1995 to 2001. In 2003 she received the Distinguished Scholar Award of the Managerial and Organizational Cognition Division of that association. In 2009 she received an honorary doctorate from Jönköping University in Sweden.

Prof. Huff has been recently elected Fellow of the Strategy Management Society (SMS), making her the only person in the world to be a Fellow of all three major management academic associations: the Academy of Management (AOM), the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and SMS.
