Professor Brian Donnellan, Chairperson of the All Ireland Smart Cities (AISC) Forum, recently spoke at the official launch of the AISC Forum which took place at the “Getting Smarter about Smart Cities” event in Cork. The event was hosted by the Minister for Data Protection, Dara Murphy TD, in conjunction with Cork City Council and Maynooth University.
This collaborative initiative, which is supported by Maynooth University, will see seven cities working together to share insights, support collaborative research, and advise stakeholders on collective city priorities. It aims to work to share best practice learnings from various smart projects already in operation across Ireland, and to collectively drive Ireland’s smart agenda.
In addition to serving as Chairperson for the AISC Forum, Professor Donnellan is also Professor of Information Systems Innovation at the School of Business and Academic Director of the Innovation Value Institute.
