Who Should Attend The Summer School?

Maynooth University School of Business invites you to the participant-centered, Quantitative Research Methods - Learn by Doing Summer School, Wed 8 to Fri 10 June, 2016, at Maynooth University.

This workshop is designed to provide postgraduates, PhD students and researchers in the social sciences with systematic training in basic and advanced quantitative research methods using SPSS and AMOS. After this workshop you will be able to conduct a range of quantitative research methods and apply these techniques to your own data.

What Topics Will Be Covered?
Day 1: Measurement including survey design, reliability and validity test via factor analysis (exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis).
Day 2: Regression Linear regression, mediation, moderation, and moderated mediation.
Day 3: Structural equation modelling (SEM), SEM for mediation test, Moderation SEMFees and Registration

Fees: €150 for the one-day course; €350 for the three-day course (9.30am – 5pm for three days). Fees include access to PC, training course materials, the tea/coffee & a light lunch on each day.

About the Instructor:
INSTRUCTOR: DR NA FU is a Lecturer in HRM & OB at Maynooth University School of Business. Her research interests include strategic human resource management and knowledge management as well as advanced statistics. Dr Fu is a multi-award winner from the Academy of Management, Emerald, Labor and Employment Relations Association, Irish Academy of Management and Irish Research Council. Using her expertise in the specific methods listed in the workshop, Dr Fu has published in a range of journals including Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, and Human Relations, all ranked as ABS4. Dr Fu has provided advice for more than 50 PhD students across different disciplines.
