Monday, October 24, 2022 - 14:00 to 15:00
TSI Building, Room TSI210 on Second Floor

The School of Business would like to invite you to this research talk as a part of our Research Seminar Series 2022-2023. In this presentation, Dr James Duggan will discuss his research on the lived experiences of app-based gig workers, with a focus on the algorithmic regimes of control used to closely monitor and coordinate workers’ activities.
James will present insights on the opaque nature of the technologies found in gig work and the implications for workers attempting to navigate this novel, precarious environment.
