Dr. Delia Ferri speaks at the conference on “Protecting the Social Rights of Persons with Disabilities” in Yerevan (Armenia).

Dr. Delia Ferri gave a speech at the conference on “Protecting the Social Rights of Persons with Disabilities” in Yerevan (Armenia) on September 19 and 20. The conference was organized by ACCESS and its partner, the Armenian Association for the Disabled “Pyunic”.

The event was organized within the realm of the project “Promoting the Social Rights of Persons with Disabilities by Building the Capacities of Armenian Civil Society Organisations to Engage with Council of Europe Monitoring Mechanisms”, in which Dr. Ferri is involved as international expert on the rights of persons with disabilities. The project is funded by the European Union through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). The Conference brought together European and Armenian experts specialized in promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, as well as persons with disabilities, representatives of the Armenian Government, local authorities, and representatives of civil society organizations. The conference was opened by Piotr Antoni Świtalski, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Armenia.

Dr Delia Ferri is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University, where she lectures primarily in the fields of EU law and International and European Disability Law.
