Maynooth Law Society attended the Intervarsity Law Summit 2023 in Dun Laoghaire on the weekend of the 10th of February. The Intervarsity Law Summit consists of a gala ball, moot and mock trial competitions, networking events, speeches and panel discussions hosted in conjunction with all of Ireland's Law Societies. This year the theme of the Summit was "Unity within Hardship", the importance of the law as a unifying force in times of strife.
The Society was delighted to select a Moot team to represent Maynooth University. The Maynooth team, consisting of Adam O' Carroll and David Rattigan, represented the Appellant and were successful in persuading the judges to allow their appeal. Additionally, the team were delighted to prepare submissions on a question written by Dr Edana Richardson, Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Law at the School of Law and Criminology.
