Newly launched Cork Dashboard shows the city and county in a whole new light
Researchers from Maynooth University Social Science Institute have launched a new online resource that will let citizens, businesses and policy makers access information about the city in an unprecedented way. The Cork Dashboard allows users to monitor a huge range of public data at a glance - from real-time traffic and weather information to air quality and crime levels - all in one place and free of charge. International team including Maynooth researchers sequence the Humongous Fungus
An international group of scientists including researchers from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the U.S. Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute (DOE JGI) and five researchers from the Department of Biology at Maynooth University (Dr. David Fitzpatrick & Professor Sean Doyle along with PhD students Nicola Moloney, Eoin O’Connor and Rose Waldron) have recently sequenced and analysed the complete genomes of four Armillaria species, published in Nature Ecology and Evolution (1).
