PhD position – The biophysics of peptide and protein assembly

Monday, November 20, 2017 - 10:15

Applications are invited for a PhD studentship, co-funded by Medimmune (https://www.medimmune.com/) and Maynooth University and based in the Soft Matter and Biophysical Chemistry group in the Department of Chemistry at Maynooth University (Maynooth Campus). This is an experimental physical chemistry/biological physics project, using a number of analytical techniques to understand the physics of peptide and/or assembly.

The successful candidate will join a well-equipped and dynamic research group at Maynooth University with a focus on understanding protein self-assembly from several different perspectives. This project is very interdisciplinary in nature and will appeal to those with a background in physical chemistry, physics or chemical engineering and a willingness to learn new approaches and techniques to understand the physical basis underlying peptide and protein assembly.

The deadline for applications is December 15th, 2017. For full application details please refer to the following document
